Carolina has a proven track-record in program design, implementation and evaluation, capacity building and community engagement with diverse stakeholders, and organizational change management. She has worked in progressive roles in health promotion, program development. and leadership in the community health and community mental health sectors for over 20 years. Carolina’s work is a reflection of her creative and collaborative nature, and has been recognized by a Toronto Community Foundation “Vital People” Award in 2010.
Silvana develops and facilitates trainings for health care providers on trans health. Silvana has trained thousands of health care providers since joining RHO. Previously, Silvana developed and facilitated trainings for workers and volunteers in the legal, social services, and healthcare sectors on sexual orientation, gender identity, ethno-racial identity, migration and poverty. Additionally, Silvana worked in mental health for 18 years counselling LGBT2SQ clients from an anti-oppression, trauma-informed perspective.
Esther provides instructional design for RHO’s knowledge and skills development initiatives and creates engaging learning experiences for learners by incorporating education theories and adult learning principles. She also manages LGBT2SQ Health Connect, RHO’s online learning platform. She has worked in vocational education and was an Education Specialist at Public Health Ontario, providing evidence-based education advice and recommendations for education endeavors. Alison is an experienced communications strategist with more than 10 years of experience in not-for-profit and health care organizations. She is dedicated to patient experience, digital storytelling and LGBT2SQ communities.
