LGBT2SQ communities face specific health challenges and barriers to accessing care. RHO offers training for healthcare and social service providers to increase their clinical and cultural competency in caring for their LGBT2SQ service users.

With LGBT2SQ Health Connect, RHO’s new online learning platform, these trainings are now easily accessible from anywhere across the province. Rainbow Health Ontario (RHO), a program of Sherbourne Health, developed this seven-module course on lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and Two-Spirit (LGBT2SQ) health for healthcare and social service providers. These self-directed modules will help build your foundational knowledge for providing care to LGBT2SQ people, and can be accessed at your convenience.
This course will heighten your comfort level and competency in providing high-quality inclusive, affirming, welcoming; culturally sensitive care.
Open to anyone, this course is a pre-requisite for all other RHO courses.
Mainpro+ Certification: 3.5  Mainpro-M1 credits (Ontario ONLY).

10 a.m. – 2 p.m., with co-facilitator Cathy Maser, Clinical Lead, Transgender Clinic, Sick Kids Hospital.
Initiating and monitoring puberty suppression for trans and non-binary youth in primary care in Ontario, Canada.
Prerequisite: LGBT2SQ Foundations + Transition-Related Hormone Therapy in Primary Health Care course OR experience providing hormone therapy to trans adults.
Open to: Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, Registered Nurses, Physician’s Assistants and students of these professions.
Mainpro+ Certification:4.0 Mainpro-M1 credits (Ontario ONLY)

Introductory counselling module for mental health practitioners with little or no experience working with trans, non-binary, or gender non-conforming children and youth.
PrerequisiteLGBT2SQ Foundations
Open to: Mental health providers and students practicing psychotherapy, counselling, and/or advocacy in a variety of settings.
